Dr. Scott, I agree completely. Well researched, brief and to the point! Excellent. There are several ways that people can exercise without eating up a lot of extra time. For example, when short trips to town are made (less than 2 miles round trip for instance) why not consider walking or riding a bike or jogging instead of taking the car? That could be a good 15-30 minutes exercise that would not have happened otherwise. Or how about taking the stairs in a multistory building instead of the elevator? Or, as you mentioned, setting up a piece of exercise equipment in front of the TV so you won't miss that special TV program but you will at the same time have cone some productive exercise. Exercise will help in almost all aspects of a persons life, their work, their endurance, their dependability and their family life. Truly, one of the most important things that a person can do. And like you said, do it regularly.

I love your work Doc! Thanks for sharing this with me. I wish more people understood that exercise and everything that passes into our body has an effect upon us both physically and mentally.

I know a person who has bouts of depression but considers exercise as something those people who exercise do. Craziness.

Dr. Scott, yet another great article! Great point about exercise being beneficial for both anxiety and depression. I am sure that many people are unaware of the research on the benefits of exercise on depression in particular.

I also agree with your advice on making sure that people keep exercise fun. Keeping it fun means that people will keep doing it regularly.
